Dear Parents,
We are pleased that you stopped by and are considering ADLC as a possible choice for your child's center.
For over 30 years, we have offered a different choice to the community. Life has changed in Somerset County. What was once large farms has transformed into new neighborhoods, new shopping areas, and new schools. Somerset County has changed ... and so have we.
We began as a traditional nursery - offering part-time enrichment programs to families in which one caregiver stayed home. As family life evolved from the '60's through the 70's and beyond - we kept pace with that change. From our first offering of an All Day program in 1975, to today's accredited program in our modern facility, we have embraced the changes and strove for excellence.
While all centers must adhere to the minimum licensing requirements of the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS), we have exceeded these standards many times over in our history. We are now recognized through the National Association for the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC) standards.
We have met their criteria for:
* Staff
* Appropriate Program
* Physical Facility
